How do I know whether my electrical panel needs to be upgraded?

An upgrade may be needed when adding major electrical loads, replacing outdated equipment, renovating the home, or addressing insufficient capacity. RDS Electric evaluates the existing panel, service size, and planned electrical needs before recommending an upgrade.

We begin with a walkthrough of the home to evaluate the existing wiring, electrical system, and areas that need to be updated. From there, we create a clear scope of work and installation plan. During the project, we replace or upgrade the necessary wiring, devices, circuits, and electrical components, followed by testing, inspection, and a final walkthrough.

We review the project plans, layout, electrical requirements, lighting, appliances, and future power needs. RDS Electric then develops the electrical scope and coordinates with the homeowner, builder, or other trades throughout the project. We handle the rough electrical work, required inspections, finish installation, testing, and final completion.

Not every home requires one. We review the existing service capacity, panel condition, available breaker space, charger specifications, and household electrical load before determining what is required.
Lighting integration can include interior and exterior fixtures, switching, dimming, lighting controls, and coordinated lighting zones designed around how each space is used.
Yes. We install dedicated circuits for EV chargers, kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, spas, workshops, and other equipment with specific electrical requirements.

We review the requested work, existing electrical conditions, access, equipment requirements, and project goals. Larger upgrades or rewiring projects may require an on-site evaluation before the final scope and price are prepared.
